Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit for Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze

This universal ceiling fan remote control kit works with most 110/120V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, including those from brands such as Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze, and Home Decorators Collection. It serves as a suitable upgrade or replacement for old ceiling fan remote control kits.

The HD5 fan remote kit offers HI/MED/LO 3-speed and OFF options for fan speed control, but it does not have a Reverse button. The LIGHT/DIMMER button controls the brightness of halogen and incandescent lamps, allowing you to turn them on/off and dim them. It is also compatible with some dimmable LED lights. However, most LED and all CFL lights are not dimmable, and the remote will only control the on/off function in those cases.

The receiver in this kit has a rated power of 240W, which far exceeds the general carrying power capacity. This allows you to power more light bulbs and significantly increases the receiver's lifespan. The receiver uses two upgraded relays, and the new components improve the dimming function compared to the previous thyristor-based design. Additionally, the upgraded receiver is smaller than the one using thyristors.

To install this kit, follow the provided installation instructions carefully. If your ceiling fan has a PULL CHAINS SWITCH, please note that before using the wireless remote control, you should use the PULL CHAINS SWITCH to set the wind speed to the maximum and turn the fan light on. This ensures that the PULL CHAINS SWITCH and the wireless remote control can be used together effectively.

The package includes 1 remote, 1 remote holder, 1 receiver, 6 wire nuts, and 2 screws. The remote requires a 9V battery, which is not included in the package.
